Nehalem River, Oregon

We are going to be offering some great winter steelhead trips on the Oregon coastal streams like this one, the Nehalem. This river is the beneficiary of having some of the biggest and brightest winter run steelhead in the state. The Nehalem is a strict no keep fishery which also keeps most anglers away unless they are looking for the pull of chrome on the end of their line.
Winter steelheading on the Oregon coast is an experience everyone should try once, as long as you keep some of these things in mind. It is going to rain and rain hard, it will be cold but don't worry, you will be into the steelhead of a lifetime very soon. If not, the car is only a few miles away!
