San Jose & Quepos,
Costa Rica

Through Peter Gorinsky, we can offer a variety of angling options for single day and extended trip anglers in both fresh and saltwater. We can take you wherever you want to go and certainly
wherever the fishing is best.
We specialize in fresh water fly-fishing
trips on the jungle rivers in custom-built drift boats. One of the primary focuses in this region is with regards to eco-angling opportunities in both the salt and freshwater.
Some of the local rivers we fish are the Savegre, Naranjo, Parrita,
Paquita, and Baru to name a few. Fish for Snook, Machaca, Mojarra,
Roncador, Machin, Snapper, and many other species. Being located
in Quepos, targeting saltwater species native to these waters is
also an option. The species available include, Snook, Roosterfish,
Snapper, Crevalle Jack, Mackerel, Trevally, Barracuda, Bonito, Corvina,
Leatherjack, Jewfish, Trippletail, and many others. Pursue them
from sea kayaks, Zodiac sport boats, pangas, custom sport fishers,
or off-shore cruisers, depending on destination.
Our fisheries include the massive Damas estuary, and the mouths
of the Rios Savegre, Naranjo, and Parrita. Coastal on-shore fishing
is done around the river mouths, reefs, and islands in the Quepos/Manuel
Antonio area. The mouths of the Naranjo and Parrita hold the current
world records for Pacific Black Snook and Pacific Blackfin Snook.
Peter Gorinsky offers overnight and multi-day river trips depending on how
long you want to fish. Flexible itineraries and trip packages assure
that we can provide you with an enjoyable experience based on your
needs.

For overnight trips on the Rio Savegre, you will stay at the scenic
and peaceful Rafiki Safari Lodge. A true wilderness paradise, Rafiki
Safari Lodge is known for its friendly service and beautiful location
in the tropical rainforest of the Savegre river valley. Overnight
river trip packages include all meals, accommodation, equipment,
transportation, and fishing guides.
Accommodations in Manuel Antonio are provided by the world famous,
four-star Hotel La Mariposa. In addition to first class rooms and
service, this highly acclaimed, luxury hotel has the most spectacular
views in the area. Pez Rey can also recommend and help book all
types of accommodations, from hotels, motels, and cabins in the
area, as well as local eco-tours. Activities such as rainforest
canopy tours with Canopy Safari, white water rafting with Rios Tropicales,
horseback tours with Finca Valmy, and guided Manuel Antonio National
Park tours are all great ways to spend your non-fishing time.
We
are located on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, in the Quepos-Manuel
Antonio area. We are
fly fishing professionals and have extensive experience with all
types of light tackle, so we can maximize the angling experience
for anyone. All guides are bilingual and have current Red Cross
CPR and First Aid training.

We highly recommend an emergency evacuation membership for this trip. It costs well over $100,000 to be air lifted to a safe US hospital from many parts of the world. These services will not be covered by general travel insurance or medical insurance. We use GLOBAL RESCUE.
