Group and Corporate Casting Clinics
Seattle , Washington

Fly casting is the proverbial heart of fly fishing. Without it, the fishing aspect would be difficult at best. Group lessons are meant to be fun and educational for all ages and ability levels.

Typically we cover the basics of casting and work specifically on false casting, over-head casts, roll casts, shooting line, line presentation, putting the rod and reel together and how to properly handle a fly rod.

We want each student to leave the clinic with enough confidence to go out and try it on their own as well as inspire those not sure of their interest in the sport to give it a try.

All the instructors have been teaching fly fishing classes for many years as well as guiding in various parts of the country. Their experience with all levels of anglers is an important key to each students success. Each has learned different ways to get people past little hiccups in their casting technique as well as making the experience enjoyable.

We keep class sizes smaller than others, 6 per instructor, to ensure you get as much attention as possible and have time to ask questions without feeling rushed.

Group casting clinics are great for corporate groups as team building exercises. We can do these clinics on site, at private lakes or at one of many public parks around the city.

We also offer group spey casting lessons with the same principals in mind. They are 3 hours long as opposed to 2 hours for the single handed clinics and only have 4 students as opposed to 6 per instructor.

For those wanting to get as much as possible in a short period of time, we do an extended class for spey casters, the 5 hour spey casting school. In this class, we cover presentation and line management techniques, discuss the difference in the lines available as well as work on casts that work on both sides of the river.
