Tortola Island, British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands (BVI) are a collection of 60 islands, cays and rocks forming the northern extremity of the Leeward Islands in the eastern Caribbean. Mostly uninhabited, these islands set the stage for an adventure in salt water fly fishing.
Located 100 kilometers (62 miles) east of Puerto Rico these islands have a balmy, subtropical climate. The islands of the BVI form almost an oval around Tortola, the largest island. They are volcanic in origin, with the exception of Anegada which is formed of coral and limestone and is the lowest lying. On land, the BVI is endowed with fine mountain ranges, small valleys and little flat fertile agriculture land.
Carribean Fly Fishing is based on Nanny Cay but offers transport from either land or your boat. We will pick you up on our 28' Bertram, the "After You." She is equipped with twin inboards, up to date instrumentation and safety equipment.
Once we are at the site, you will be transferred to one of our 18' custom built poling boats with a professional guide.
We are happy to rendezvous with you if you are chartering a yacht in the BVI. Our guides are extremely knowledgeable. Ian is a Canadian citizen from Alberta who spent many years fishing the famous Bow River and throughout Europe. Graham also hails from Alberta, Canada and is a fly fishing addict and has fly fished in many parts of the world. He is also a certified paramedic.
As all of you fly fishermen know, salt water fly fishing is the fastest growing sport in the world, so if you are interested in catching fish "on the fly" in a new location, come and join us in the BVI and let our professional guides take you to the numerous un-fished flats and reefs teeming with Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon.

We highly recommend an emergency evacuation membership for this trip. It costs well over $100,000 to be air lifted to a safe US hospital from many parts of the world. These services will not be covered by general travel insurance or medical insurance. We use GLOBAL RESCUE.
