There are few places left on the planet that fly anglers have not really explored in search of some exotic species. This is one of the newest and greatest to hit the radar. While Golden Dorado have been a focal point for sometime, however it has mostly been in the marshes of the Ibera or tailwater fisheries. Tsimane Lodge is set way back in the Bolivian jungle near the headwaters of one of the Amazonian tributaries. 
Sight casting in small water to these brutes in freestone streams, transporation is via the native peoples carved out kayaks and maximum group size is 4 anglers at this time.
Time is split during each week between two different lodges and while rustic are well appointed and staffed with courteous and professional guides from around the world.
Size of fish range from the small 3-5 pounders to larger dorado up to 25 pounds plus.
Gear required for these voracious fish is an 8wt rod, tropical floating lines and maybe intermediate sinking tips in case of highwater and "tippet"should be spools of 30-40# brown knotable wire.

We highly recommend an emergency evacuation membership for this trip. It could cost as much as $100,000 to be air lifted to a safe US hospital from many parts of the world. These services will not be covered by general travel insurance or medical insurance. We use GLOBAL RESCUE.
