Professional Fly Fishing Guide

Having been raised in the mountains and deserts of Wyoming allowed me to truly appreciate the outdoors and all it has to offer. Yearly whitewater and fishing trips as a lad gave me a particular love for rivers. So it was on one such trip that a whitewater guide allowed me to row the the boat, on a not so white piece of water that is. From that moment on I was hooked. Since guiding my first commercial whitewater trip in college I have made a living out of rivers. Professional whitewater guiding turned into professional fishing guiding.

In the winter of 96 I moved to Durango Colorado and for the next six years managed a local fly shop and guide service called Duranglers. In the winter months I spent my time managing and guiding at a lodge in Southern Chile. What spare time and money I could manage was directed towards destination fly fishing trips. The sport has allowed me to travel, fish, and immerse myself in places such as Nicaragua, Argentina, Costa Rica, British Columbia, Mexico, the B.V.I.’s, Belize, and probably a few spots I can't now remember.

Currently I still make my home in Durango, Colorado and am spending most of the year guiding on rivers such as the Gunnison, Rio Grande, Animas, Piedra, and the San Juan in both Colorado and New Mexico. My true love however, besides my wife and of course my dogs, and devil cat, is the pristine rivers of Southern Chile. I now spend much of my time booking trips in anticipation of returning to and guiding in the Patagonia region of Chile.
