Professional Fly Fishing Guide
 I began fishing the remote lakes and streams of Northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba at an early age. Migrating to the West Coast of Vancouver Island, I started working on commercial fishing boats, working the waters from Victoria to the Queen Charlotte Islands. Learning the characteristics of Salmon and Halibut would prove essential for later days as a Saltwater Guide, but my true passion is exploring the numerous remote lakes and rivers of Vancouver Island.
For nearly 20 years, I have been in pursuit of native Steelhead, coastal Cutthroat and Rainbow trout in the most unique and pristine areas the Island has to offer. However, I also have one of the most unique fishing estuaries in the world out my front door. The progressive growth of saltwater fly-fishing for silver salmon has been a focus for me as my home waters of Clayoquot Sound have been labeled some of the finest in the Pacific Northwest.
I also involve myself in writing for many local and Canadian publications, teaching fly tying classes and giving time to the education of youths through local programs. Currently as owner and head guide of Clayoquot Ventures Guide Service and Fly Shop, I have certainly found my calling.
