Thelma and Louise
THE PITCH: Looking for a freewheelin' take on summer? Seattle has many options that don't involve driving off a cliff.
All Thelma and Louise meant to do was go for a weekend fishing trip. If you decide to do the same, we recommend sticking to the plan. In-city, try the pier at the north end of Myrtle Edwards Park, where you just might hook a salmon. Lake Washington also offers countless docks to drop a line off (for trout, bass and perch)--including several at the Washington Park Arboretum. For a road trip, sign up for fly fishing on the Snoqualmie River with Emerald Water Anglers, or hop aboard a chartered salmon fishing tourwith Edmonds-based Puget Sound Sport Fishing.
